General Motors Hands Out $400 Million in Bonuses; Still Owes Billions to Gov't

General Motors (GM) is a great example of how not to run an organization.  After TARP money went to bailout the fledgling automaker in 2008, President Obama further expanded that and provided the company, along with Chrysler, taxpayer dollars to avoid bankruptcy, which both companies eventually filed.  The aftermath of the bankruptcy filings show just how cozy the Obama administration is with the labor unions, as the United Auto Workers (UAW) union ended up cashing in before company stock and shareholders.  It was a disturbing intervention of the federal government.  As the company attempts to turn itself around, it's dished out $400 million in bonuses to 48,000 hourly workers.
