In the latest of terrible ideas by the Obama administration, Illinois' Thomson Correctional Center is being eyed to house about 100 of the terrorist detainees that currently reside at Guantanamo Bay. Â President Obama, in order to keep one of his campaign promises, wants to move these wretched scum to American soil and close down the base in Cuba. Â This news comes after Friday's announcement by Attorney General Eric Holder that 9/11 mastermind Khalid Shaikh Mohammed will be tried in a civilian court of law in New York CIty.
Guantanamo Bay holds captured terrorists, which the lib media will highlight that they're being held without any formal charges. Â The American Criminal Liberties Union (ACLU) and the National Lawyer's Guild, two groups that would prefer terrorists to walk free on the street and have more rights than Americans, will likely be the first in line to defend the terrorists should a trial ever occur. Â The fact remains that these individuals, a majority who are Islamic extremists, want to see the demise of America and the West.
Thomson Correctional Center is about 150 miles west of Chicago and opened in 2001, but not fully due to budget problems. Â Budget problems in Illinois? Â Who would've thought! Â Illinois Senator Little Dick Durbin, the Senate Majority Whip, hailed the move, citing it would create more than 3000 local jobs.
"This is an opportunity to dramatically reduce unemployment, create thousands of good-paying jobs and breathe new economic life into this part of downstate Illinois."
Are these going to be the same jobs that were supposed to be created or saved by the ridiculous stimulus bill? Â Keep the terrorists out of America.
