Obama Ups Climate Change Pledge to $100 Billion in Copenhagen

The undocumented President Obama and his radical administration made an eleventh-hour push for the stalled talks at the Climate Change Summit in Copenhagen.  While Obama and the Democratic controlled Congress have substantially increased the country's domestic debt, Obama feels that it's now time for America to pledge $100 billion annually for the next decade to help poor nations fight climate change, but realistically, Obama just wanted to Copenhagen climate change spotlight to be on him.

Even though there hasn't been an ounce of climate change debate, President Obama has agreed to pledge billions of dollars to a science that hasn't been proven.  It will be interesting to see if a process is enforced to ensure that funds are being used for their stated intentions.  If anybody is familiar with Shell Oil in Nigeria then they're aware of the millions of dollars that Shell donated to help local communities.  The only problem was that the corrupt military government felt the money was better suited for their own pockets.  Why does it seem that a few select organizations will profit substantially from this pledge?  I guess we'll have to keep an eye on Al Gore's bank account.

The pledge decision was likely made after concern that the talks would fall completely apart without a bold move by the U.S.  The summit has been plagued by cold weather, protestors, and climategate, which every global warming alarmist would love to have disappear from the records.  But to their credit, they're doing a great job of pretending it never happened.

Any public funding, though, cannot be given without approval from Congress.  But if Chicago style politics start to pan out, we may see Congress approve public funding rather than getting a bag of dead fish mailed to their homes by chief of staff Rahm Emanuel or get beaten up by members of the SEIU.

But the $100 billion pledge isn't enough for insatiable liberals - they're hoping for an announcement of increased levels of emission cuts by 2020, which would result in more government regulation and less industry innovation.  And as always, the decision needs to be made immediately and is very historic.  House Republicans said they would introduce a "disapproval resolution" that would block any efforts to fund the pledge.

In the end, it's pretty funny seeing delegates from all over the world and virtually every country take 11 days and have nothing to show for it - other than a STD from the free prostitution offers by the sex workers' union.
