Salazar and White House Manipulated Expert Recommendations to Justify Offshore Drilling Moratorium

This administration is about as transparent as the oil that's leaking into the Gulf of Mexico.  Last month, a panel of seven experts were asked for their opinions on how to safely deal with offshore drilling.  It was commissioned by the White House and the Department of Interior in wake of BP's oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.  The outcome?  Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar and the Obama White House secretly added to the final draft, after it had been reviewed and approved by the expert panel, that the experts agreed with and justified a six-month moratorium on offshore drilling.

The advisory panel was selected and provided by the National Academy of Engineering.  Salazar and the White House deliberately manipulated the facts and opinions of the panel for political reasons.  Expert Ken Arnold from the panel was not happy with the situation.

"The secretary should be free to recommend whatever he thinks is correct, but he should not be free to use our names to justify his political decisions."

"None of us actually reviewed the memorandum as it is in the report.  What was in the report at the time it was reviewed was quite a bit different in its impact to what there is now."

The advisory panel opposes an offshore drilling moratorium.  Thousands of jobs will be lost; floating rigs are scarce and will be sent to West Africa or the North Sea, hurting the economy; the best rigs will be the first to go, leaving the United States with older and potentially less safe rigs - it's not a pretty picture.  Carol Browner, a socialist and Obama's energy czar, denies the situation, but Salazar is admitting it.

The only truth in the manipulated report is that the Obama administration, the most radical and inexperienced in history, will do anything to distort the facts so that they align with their radical agenda.  Everyone is concerned about the environmental impacts of the oil spill, but a ban on drilling will kill the American economy.  And let's be honest - does anyone believe the ban will last just six months?

This incident only validates the far-Left, liberal agenda of manipulating any piece of information, so they can impose their radical, Marxist, environmental regulations.  We saw it with Climategate and the United Nation's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change falsify the data to "hide the decline."  We saw it when a dirty hippie and climate change alarmist scrubbed over 5000 Wikipedia articles that questioned the science behind global warming.  And just yesterday, we saw it with when 53 Democrats voted to support the EPA to control carbon emissions without any consent from Congress.

Ken Salazar and Obama's document manipulation to justify an offshore drilling moratorium is just another incident in a long series of attempts to ram through their radical agenda by illegal, backdoor politics.

The undocumented President Obama's plan is far from green.  It's very red.
