Since the White House and President Obama already threatened the Supreme Court of the United States on their decision of the constitutionality of Obamacare, now it's time for other top Democrats take a shot. Senator Patrick Leahy (D - VT) is a senior member of the Senate Judiciary Committee. Taking time off from drinking, the intoxicated-sounding Leahy took to the floor to lecture Chief Justice John Roberts on upholding Obamacare, simply because it was passed by his branch of Congress.
It's one thing for a Senator to argue the merits of the law based on the Constitution, but it's another thing for a top Senator to lecture the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and call him a conservative activist. There's a reason for separation of powers between the different branches of power, as explained by The Heritage Foundation:
We are starting to see desperation, which is a stinky cologne. Liberals are having conniption fits at the thought of losing their prized possession, Obamacare, because they will end up having less control over the individual. With one month to go before the Supreme Court makes their decision, expect these threats and lectures to continue, as liberals realize that their jig is up and Americans don't want their country turned into socialist Europe.
As for Patrick Leahy, will somebody please get him another drink?
