President Obama has already threatened the Supreme Court over their pending decision on the Affordable Care Act, formally known as Obamacare. The White House has even sent out their Democrat minions to trash Obamacare's opponents and to also lecture the Supreme Court. It's clear that the law, which is Obama's signature piece of legislation that he obsessed over 1 1/2 years for, is proving to be more problematic than expected. He's now claiming that if the law is overturned, the decision would take the country "backwards."
What we're seeing is the complete meltdown of a presidential campaign. Gone is the enthusiasm that enamored voters in '08. Instead, anger is at the core of Americans, who saw a Democratic president and a Democrat-controlled Congress ram Obamacare into law against the will of 70% of the country. Apply those stats to the phony $787 billion stimulus and financial reform, and you end up with an extreme liberal campaign struggling to find propaganda to lie to the people about.
The Financial Times touched on Obama's recent attack on the Supreme Court, which is more notable because it's actual news that's not from the elite liberal media in the U.S. They touch on some interesting tidbits:
Barack Obama suggested that any decision by the US Supreme Court to overturn his landmark healthcare law would send the country “backwards” and that Americans did not want to “re-fight” the battle over healthcare.
It was the first sign that beyond the White House’s staunch defence of the Affordable Care Act Mr Obama is prepared to use the law as a rallying cry on the campaign trail. It is a risky strategy: about half the country remains opposed to the legislation, although most voters like the consumer protections that are guaranteed under the law.
Political experts have said it is unclear how the Supreme Court decision will shape the presidential contest; while a move to strike down the law will undoubtedly be a blow to the Obama administration, some believe it will motivate Democratic voters ahead of the November general election.
Nothing above is a surprise. But what we actually see is the other side of the story: most of the country remains opposed to Obamacare. Yes, there are a few good provisions in the bill, but those can easily be addressed through separate pieces of legislation. The issue is extremely unpopular, which is why President Obama barely addresses it during his campaigns, unless he knows his audience is filled with anti-American liberals that want the government to control every aspect of an individual's life.
With the Supreme Court announcing the fate of Obamacare tomorrow, the future of America is in the hands of the nine most powerful individuals in the country. If the law is overturned, the Supreme Court will become enemy number one of the White House.
