The New York Times and the Washington Post have so far decided not to investigate Harry Reid's claims that Mitt Romney is a tax cheat who's dead father would be embarrassed of. That's actually something they normally do, as Byron York pointed out on Twitter. Since this outrageous claim was made, Reid has doubled down, stating that a number of people told him Romney hadn't paid his taxes in 10 years. And he's not basing this on a "figment of my imagination." Poor guy. The walking disorder just wants to listen to Cowboy Poetry and look at his pomegranate trees.
Here's what New York Magazine reported:
Earlier this week, Harry Reid revealed why Mitt Romney is refusing to release more tax returns: He didn't pay taxes for an entire decade! It almost sounds too crazy to be true, and in fact, Reid is "not certain" that it isn't a total lie. However, he is sure of one thing: "I am not basing this on some figment of my imagination," Reid told the Las Vegas Review-Journal. "I have had a number of people tell me that." So we aren't talking about just one anonymous Bain investor, but several people who have seemingly only shared this story with Reid.
In an interview with Nevada reporters on Wednesday, Reid refused to name his sources or back down on his accusation. "I don't think the burden should be on me," he said. "The burden should be on him. He's the one I've alleged has not paid any taxes. Why didn't he release his tax returns?"
According to Reid, it's the media's job to get to the bottom of this. "What if he has paid no taxes, like I am saying he hasn't," Reid said. "What if he has all these moneys as we already know ... in the Cayman Islands, Bermuda, Swiss banks. I mean, gee whiz, rather than ask me why I should do this, that is a story you should be writing." Looking into Romney's finances? Reporters must be kicking themselves for not thinking of that sooner.
First off, if somebody outside of the IRS got their hands on Mitt Romney's private tax returns, that's a criminal act. Second of all, Reid is basically saying that, no matter how outrageous someone's claim is, they have to prove otherwise. The dipshit said the burden is on Romney to prove the unsubstantiated claim that Reid doesn't even know if it's true, but is asserting that it is.
How about this? A source told a contact of ours that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is an adult bed wetter that frequently visits the Bunny Ranch in Nevada for what most would consider odd sexual acts. That's the allegation made, so the burden is now on this fucking creep to prove otherwise.
Harry Reid is one of one hundred Senators in America of roughly 310 million people. It's great to know that he has zero standards for the position he holds. Liberalism is a mental disorder.
