Union Membership Under Sharp Decline

2012 may have been a great year for liberal anti-American bed wetters, but their union thug allies faced a decline in membership as individuals realized the lack of benefit being a union thug.  Looking at the fat slob Richard Trumka and the AFL-CIO, his radical socialist dystopia is starting to crumble because fewer union thugs means less money in his pockets.  Paired with the crap economy under Barack Hussein Obama and ridiculous pension and health care plans, unions are finally getting some attention for the corrupt organizations they are.

There is absolutely no reason for government unions, but since they're an arm of the Democrat Party, they get treated like gold by politicians.  Union thugs contribute to liberal causes and politicians, who, in turn, throw money back at the unions.  The phony $787 billion stimulus bill from 2009, which is now a line item in the federal budget, was none other than payback to union thugs for their support.

Union membership plummeted last year to the lowest level since the 1930s as cash-strapped state and local governments shed workers and unions had difficulty organizing new members in the private sector despite signs of an improving economy.

Government figures released Wednesday showed union membership declined from 11.8 percent to 11.3 percent of the workforce, another blow to a labor movement already stretched thin by battles in Wisconsin, Indiana, Michigan and other states to curb bargaining rights and weaken union clout.

Overall membership fell by about 400,000 workers to 14.4 million, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. More than half the loss, about 234,000, came from government workers, including teachers, firefighters and public administrators.

But unions also saw losses in the private sector even as the economy created 1.8 million new jobs in 2012. That membership rate fell from 6.9 percent to 6.6 percent, a troubling sign for the future of organized labor, as job growth generally has taken place at nonunion companies.

This is fantastic news.  Of course, there are many union members that see the light, but are there because they need the job.  When we mention union thugs, we're talking about the perverts that threaten the lives of their opposition because they're asked to contribute to their ridiculous pension and health care plans; we're talking about the ones that sit on their fat asses all day, waiting to be called by liberal front groups to be bussed somewhere to protest.  These people are degenerate miscreants and contribute nothing to society except clogged toilets.
