Justice Sotomayor Backs Obamacare in Hobby Lobby Contraception Mandate Case

Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor denied a request to block part of Obamacare that requires employers to cover morning-after pills.  Hobby Lobby, a family-owned and religiously run corporation, brought forward the suit, claiming that Obamacare violates their religious beliefs.  The mandated Obamacare is facing more lawsuits from numerous religious institutions claiming the contraception mandate steps on their religious liberties. Starting yesterday, Hobby Lobby faces a daily $1.3 million fine for not complying.
