The full ramifications of Obamacare are not yet known, but we're seeing the results dribble in piece by piece, primarily through layoffs and loss of health care insurance. The medical device tax in Obamcare is brutal: the 2.3% tax is imposted on medical device makers, who, in turn, pass this along to consumers, raising costs significantly for all aspects of the supply chain. Medical device maker Stryker is now a major victim of Obamacare, laying off 1,000 employees solely due to the Obamcare tax.
