NBC Intended to Omit 'Under God' From Pledge of Allegiance

NBC was caught with their pants around their ankles on Sunday during the U.S. Open, a premier golf event with millions of viewers. Not once, but twice during the golf tournament's montage, the Pledge of Allegiance, recited by children, mysteriously omitted the phrase "under God". NBC is easily the most liberal of the television networks, so when this boner happened twice, it was clear to have been done with intent. Any excuses are just that - this was not an editorial decision and the network needs to be held accountable for this disgraceful action.

Omitting "under God" and "indivisible" from the Pledge of Allegiance should not only offend religious Americans, but it should offend all Americans (except for those, particularly liberals, who want God removed from any and all references). The Founding Father's invoked religion, but the issue isn't entirely about religion. The issue is about a television network, the parent of non-network MSNBC, making this change with intent as part of their extreme liberal agenda.

The Pledge of Allegiance constantly comes under attack from progressives. It takes a perverse mindset to go to such lengths to fight for the removal of references to God - it's part of American history. This short saying, which is less than 40-words, is a tribute to American heritage and the men and women who've fought to protect this great country and give us our freedoms, yet liberals want it altered.

As expected, NBC apologized for their intended actions. Notice how they didn't explain how it happened.

"We began our coverage of this final round just about three hours ago, and when we did it was our intent to begin the coverage of the U.S. Open championship with a feature that captured the patriotism of our national championship being held in our nation's capital for the third time. Regrettably, a portion of the Pledge of Allegiance that was in that feature was edited out. It was not done to upset anyone, and we'd like to apologize to those of you who were offended by by it."

We chose not to cover this yesterday to see how much coverage it received. It did make headlines, but it likely won't stick around. Comcast now owns NBC, but the transition isn't fully complete, which means General Electric's liberal minions still hold some power. It wouldn't be surprising if this was planned - which we cannot see it any other way - just to see if they could sneak it past the audience. After all, liberalism is not patriotic, as we've seen how President Barack Obama has acted when it comes time for the Pledge of Allegiance.
