Obama to Hispanics: "I'd LIke to Work My Way Around Congress"

Speaking to the Congressional Hispanic Caucus last night, a group of progressive lawmakers that want amnesty in America, President Obama, again, discussed his deepest intentions of circumventing the rule of law to enforce his radical agenda. After two years of unregulated Democratic control of Congress, Obama is finally realizing that his policies are vastly unpopular with the American people. This was shown in the mid-term elections of 2010. The result is a White House that is governing by executive fiat to enforce laws that wouldn't stand a chance passing in Congress. And with Hispanics being very disappointed with him, Obama needs to do everything he can to secure the Hispanic vote; the rule of law - and America's safety - be damned.

Last month, President Obama, through Homeland Security, loosened immigration policy, which was essentially the DREAM Act, to open the door to amnesty. Hispanics lauded the effort, as did the labor union thugs, who will see an increase in membership. For Democrats, it's all about registering as many illegal aliens to vote because they know the uphill battle they're facing in 2012. The DREAM Act has failed countless times in Congress and currently has no chance of becoming law. Having this knowledge, Obama found a way to regulate instead of legislating.
From The Washington Examiner's Byron York:
"Facing growing opposition to his economic proposals and dimming prospects that Congress will pass other parts of his agenda, President Obama told a Hispanic group in Washington Wednesday that when it comes to the issue of immigration, 'I'd like to work my way around Congress.'
'As I mentioned when I was at La Raza a few weeks back, I wish I had a magic wand and could make this all happen on my own,' Obama told a meeting of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus. 'There are times where -- until Nancy Pelosi is speaker again -- I'd like to work my way around Congress.'
As he continued, Obama conceded that 'we've got laws on the books that have to be upheld.' But he quickly added there are different ways to uphold the laws on the books. 'You know as well as anyone that…how we enforce those laws is also important,' Obama said. Last month, the administration made a major, unilateral change in immigration law enforcement when it announced that the government will not initiate deportation proceedings against illegal immigrants unless they have committed serious crimes. To critics, Obama had indeed worked his way around Congress. To the Hispanic Caucus, Obama said his new policy will 'prioritize criminals who endanger our communities, not students trying to achieve the American dream.'"
The most bothersome aspect of these statements is that they're even being made. Here we have the President of the United States of America publicly stating that he wants to circumvent the system that keeps the country in check. Later in the speech, Obama said that he can only do much and it's Congress that needs to act. Yes, that's the trained community organizer coming out to rile up the crowds and encourage activism.
Obama spoke to the extreme liberal, open borders and amnesty group, La Raza (the "race") last month, where he said it was "very tempting" to listen to the people that want him to bypass Congress and change laws on his own. It must be very tempting because he's done it so many times, including net neutrality with the FCC, labeling the air we breathe as a greenhouse gas through the EPA and pro-union laws through the NLRB, just to name a few. It's not tempting, Mr. President, it's your reality.
