Health Care Reform Battle Heats Up as March 18 Vote is Set

The date has been set for health care reform. Today the White House announced that an up or down vote, which only requires a simple majority, is needed before President Obama leaves for an international trip on March 18. While this is true, the real reason this date was picked is because Democrats are worried about seeing their constituents during Easter recess - they needed assurance from the White House that there would be no repeat of what happened last August.
