Islamic Fort Hood Massacre Classified as "Workplace Violence" by White House

It's been just over two years since the Fort Hood massacre, where Islamic extremist Malik Nadal Hasan opened fire and killed 13 people. In February of this year, we reported that political correctness and Islamic extremism were the cause of the incident, despite the Obama administration working overtime to subdue any references to Islam or Muslims. Yesterday, the Department of Defense classified the terrorist act - by an individual that followed Islamic terrorist Anwar al-Awlaki - as "workplace violence," proving that the White House remains hell-bent on refusing to identify what is one of, if not the, most dangerous enemies facing America: radical Islam. President Obama is now putting politics ahead of the country's safety at entirely new level.

Sen. Susan Collins on Wednesday blasted the Defense Department for classifying the Fort Hood massacre as workplace violence and suggested political correctness is being placed above the security of the nation's Armed Forces at home.
During a joint session of the Senate and House Homeland Security Committee on Wednesday, the Maine Republican referenced a letter from the Defense Department depicting the Fort Hood shootings as workplace violence. She criticized the Obama administration for failing to identify the threat as radical Islam.
Thirteen people were killed and dozens more wounded at Fort Hood in 2009, and the number of alleged plots targeting the military has grown significantly since then. Lawmakers said there have been 33 plots against the U.S. military since Sept. 11, 2001, and 70 percent of those threats have been since mid-2009. Major Nidal Hasan, a former Army psychiatrist, who is being held for the attacks, allegedly was inspired by radical U.S.-born cleric Anwar al-Awlaki, who was killed in a U.S. drone strike in Yemen in late September. The two men exchanged as many as 20 emails, according to U.S. officials, and Awlaki declared Hasan a hero.
By Obama and his liberal cronies refusing to call out radical Islam, they are strengthening the enemy; they are playing directly into their hands. Let's be clear: Obama has failed in every aspect on foreign policy. Yes, Osama bin Laden was killed, but it was an operation that was originally put in place by the military without Obama's involvement in case he chose not to pursue bin Laden. Obama cares solely about imposing his Marxist policies and "fundamentally transforming" America.
Other than that, there have been two major terrorist attacks that failed in the United States since Obama took office, and they failed because of moronic terrorists and not because of anti-terrorist measures. You've got the underwear bomber and the Times Square bomber. Luck isn't a reliable policy when fighting people that want America destroyed.
Fort Hood was a terrorist attack, plain and simple. By classifying "workplace violence" as the cause of an Islamic terrorist attack, we have given the enemies an advantage. This is beyond disturbing.
